We created “Moth to the Flame” together on October 22nd, 2023 at Crafters on Central in Florence, WI

”Like a moth to a flame, we toil in the in-between state of uncertainty and the unknown.

We might burn up in the flame, but we might find everything we want and more just on the other side.

We shared some good laughs, and recalled some of our favorite jokes and memories since the beginning of this journey. Everyone in class had taken multiple classes with me in the past, and getting to recall and witness their growth in confidence and skill over the last year and a half is a supreme gift that I will take with me for the rest of my life.

The truth is, everything can change in an instant. The very nature of life is uncertainty. And in moments like these, when we can see the potential for momentous change, we realize that the “golden days” are exactly where we are in the moment.

Thank you for seeing me. And thank you for opening up to let me see you, because getting to see YOU has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

If you’ve ever taken a class with me, just know that I think of you often. I think of how your face lit up when you realized how truly magnificent you are, and what you are capable of creating.
